The Dynamic Brain & Mind Lab (Kucyi Lab) is in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. We study how the brain self-organizes its activity to give rise to the mind. Three major research directions of the lab are as follows:

(1) The neural basis of spontaneous thought (including interactions with attention, memory, mood, and executive control)

(2) Dynamics of large-scale attention networks in the brain

(3) Developing novel real-time neuroimaging interventions

We incorporate a variety of techniques in human neuroscience, including functional MRI (fMRI), real-time fMRI, scalp EEG, simultaneous EEG-fMRI, precision brain network mapping, and machine learning approaches to brain network analysis.
